How it works
Carboxytherapy consists of applying medical carbon dioxide (CO2) beneath the skin with a very fine needle. The gas improves local circulation and tissue oxygenation — an effect known as the Bohr effect — which stimulates the formation of collagen and new elastic fibers.
After the application, a gentle massage helps disperse the gas and distribute its effects throughout the treated region, leaving no marks and requiring no downtime.
Protocol and results
It is recommended for cellulite, localized fat, skin sagging, wrinkles and expression lines, dark under-eye circles and to support post-surgical recovery. The protocol usually involves about 10 sessions, performed 1 to 2 times per week.
The exact number and frequency are defined during the assessment consultation, according to the concern and the treated area — the protocol for under-eye circles, for example, is usually shorter, with about 5 weekly sessions.
