How it works
Collagen biostimulators are injectable substances that activate the body's own natural collagen production, treating sagging and restoring firmness, support and radiance to the skin progressively — unlike traditional fillers, which deliver immediate volume.
The two most established biostimulators on the market have different compositions: one is made of poly-L-lactic acid, with a slower onset of action and maximum effect from the first month onward; the other is made of calcium hydroxyapatite, with improvement noticeable within the first weeks, thanks to a more viscous composition that also fills locally. The choice between them is made during the assessment consultation, considering the goal, the area and the skin characteristics of each patient.
Protocol and results
It is recommended to improve skin texture, treat sagging, soften wrinkles and expression lines and improve the contour of the face and body. The greater the degree of sagging, the more sessions may be needed to reach the desired result — generally 1 to 3, at intervals of 30 to 60 days between them.
The application is performed with very fine needles at the office, and the patient returns to daily activities the same day. Post-procedure care includes specific massages in the following days, guided during the consultation, which help distribute the product evenly and prevent the formation of nodules.
