How it works

Lipo cavitation uses ultrasound waves that convert into pressure inside the fatty tissue, causing a selective mechanical rupture of the membrane of the fat cells (adipocytes).

The neighboring tissues — blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue — remain intact, since the technique acts specifically on the more fragile structure of the adipocytes, leaving the rest of the region preserved.

Protocol and results

It is recommended for localized fat in areas such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs and arms. The protocol usually involves 6 to 10 sessions, performed at least twice a month, lasting 30 to 60 minutes each.

Inch loss is usually noticeable on the very first day — around 3 to 4 cm — with an additional average reduction of 1 cm at each following session, always defined during the assessment consultation according to the area and goal of each patient.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Lipo Cavitation

Does lipo cavitation hurt?
No. The sensation is one of warmth and a slight vibration or buzzing during the session, generally comfortable.
How many sessions are needed?
Generally 6 to 10, performed at least twice a month — the exact number is defined during the assessment consultation according to the area and goal.
Does lipo cavitation replace surgical liposuction?
No. It is recommended for small and moderate localized deposits, not for large volumes of fat or obesity — in those cases, other approaches should be discussed during the consultation.
When will I see results?
Inch loss is usually noticeable on the very first day, with progressive improvement at each following session.
Can I combine lipo cavitation with other technologies?
Yes — it is common to combine it with other technologies at the Institute, such as cryolipolysis or Exilis 360, within a personalized protocol.
Who cannot have lipo cavitation?
Pregnant women, people with heart conditions, a pacemaker, prostheses or metal in the treated area, uncontrolled hypertension, liver or kidney diseases, epilepsy or phlebitis.
