How it works
The retinoic peel uses retinoic acid, a vitamin A derivative, applied directly to the skin at a therapeutic concentration. Unlike purely exfoliating peels, retinoic acid acts on the deeper layers of the epidermis, significantly accelerating cell turnover and stimulating fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin.
This stimulation results in visible, controlled peeling — the skin literally renews itself in layers over about 5 to 7 days — revealing a smoother, more even surface with refined pores. Because it acts in depth, the retinoic peel is indicated for texture and fine lines as well as blemishes and oiliness, always dosed according to each skin's sensitivity.
Protocol and results
The retinoic peel protocol is defined during the personalized consultation, taking into account phototype, sensitivity and goals — generally between 4 and 6 sessions, about 15 days apart, the time the skin needs to complete peeling and prepare for the next application. In the days following each session, strict, daily sun protection is essential to protect the renewing skin and preserve results.
Throughout the protocol, texture becomes progressively smoother and more even, fine lines soften, and blemishes — including mild melasma — tend to become more uniform, always with a focus on ongoing control and maintenance rather than a promise of a definitive cure. Natural, safe and long-lasting results, with maintenance sessions spaced according to each skin's needs.
